Privacy policy

This policy explains how Opie Ventures LLC ("Opie Ventures", "we", "us") handles information when you visit opieventures.com, use our apps, buy our digital products, or buy items we resell. If you have questions, email megan@opieventures.com.

Information we collect

This website

This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and it has no forms. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the time of a request, for security and to keep the site running.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include in your message. We use it only to respond to you and keep a record of the conversation.

Our apps

Our apps are designed to collect as little information as possible. Unless an app's App Store listing or in-app notice says otherwise, data you create in our apps stays on your device or in your own iCloud account, and we cannot see it.

If an app needs to collect data, for example to sync between devices or to report crashes, we will describe what is collected and why in the app's App Store privacy details and, where needed, in an app-specific section added to this policy.

Purchases and subscriptions in our apps are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment card details. Apple shares limited transaction information with us, such as whether a purchase was completed, so that we can provide what you bought.

Digital products and resale

When you buy from us on a third-party marketplace, that marketplace processes your payment and shares the order details we need to deliver your purchase, such as your name, shipping address and order contents. We use these details only to fulfill and support your order and to meet our tax and record-keeping obligations. The marketplace's own privacy policy also applies.

How we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, such as our hosting, email and marketplace providers, and only as much as they need; when required by law; or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. You can ask us to delete your emails with us at any time.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold about you by emailing megan@opieventures.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act. We will respond to requests within 30 days and will not treat you differently for making one.

Children

Little Hockey Lab is made for young hockey players and their parents. It does not ask children for their name, email address, location or any other personal information, does not show ads, and does not use third-party analytics or tracking. Lesson progress and quiz results are stored only on the device.

Links that leave the app and any purchases are placed behind a parental gate, so a parent or guardian has to approve them.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, for example by emailing us, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
